The amnesty scheme set up by the government is for those who have overstayed in the UAE illegally and is a chance for them to return home without facing a ban or a fine. The amnesty will begin from August 1 and will end on the end of October 2018.
This opportunity is also given to those who currently have an absconding report and so are given the chance to apply for the amnesty as well as those who entered the country illegally.
Those who are from war-torn Syria and Yemen would be given entry to the country as well as a one-year residency without any restrictions.
Who doesn’t qualify for the amnesty?
· Those with a criminal case against them are not able to apply for the amnesty as well as any individual who has been banned from obtaining a UAE visa.
The amnesty and exit permit
